Compelling storytelling squeezed into a backpack.

I’ve been shooting video and editing in Final Cut Pro since I was 16 years old. My video background is in educational and public access broadcasting, not traditional television, so there weren’t a lot of conventions for me to unlearn when I started shooting news and nonfiction for the Web.

My approach is heavily informed by the documentary tradition, as well as my interests in sound editing and photojournalism. My specialty is short, character-driven packages that put the focus on the subject’s voice, though I’m able to step in if I’ve got something to add as a narrator.
